Pedro Leao

Pedro finished his Ph.D. in microbiology in 2018 at UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro). His thesis was named "Diversity of Magnetotactic organisms: New frontiers for magnetotaxis evolution." After that, Pedro was an FSE fellow at the University of Groningen. In 2021, Pedro became a postdoc at the Baker Lab exploring the metabolic and phylogenetic diversity of Asgard archaea. Now Dr. Leao is an assistant professor at Radboud University exploring the impact of virus-host interactions
