I have a degree in Biology and Health, at Eduardo Mondlane University, with the final theme, “Association between the level of education and the prevalence of HIV in women sex workers” and Master's student in Public Health at the same University with the theme “Scientific ethical issues in research proposals and duration of approval: A systematic review of research proposal and scientific research protocols presented by CNBS in the period 2018-2022” Right after my defense, I joined a research and research team at the National Institute of Health. Having participated as a researcher, manager and data analyst for outbreaks, surveillance and investigations. The outbreak of rabies virus in Maputo city was the first experience in surveillance for rapid response. One of the most important aspects of my journey was to have been part of the cholera surveillance team during Cyclone IDAI in Beira and Cyclone KENNETH in Cabo Delgado and more recently Cyclone ANA in Tete province as an epidemiologist, manager and data analyst. . During this period, I consolidated research knowledge to generate quality information and effective interventions in communities. Among several researches that I have participated and participate in, I have been part of the COVID19 surveillance team, from the first days of the pandemic to the present, being one of those responsible for managing the COVID19 database and for the daily updates of the indicators. As you can see, I have some experience in areas related to research, mainly in the knowledge of indicators for the management and analysis of health information, in order to generate credible and quality evidence with a view to solving some health problems in Mozambique.
