Paula Rojas

Since March 2015 she is the Director of Research of the UAI and also a member of the Design Lab of the School of Design of the same university. Her engineer and doctoral studies where carried out at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile and she also has post-doctoral studies at UC Davis in California, US. She has more than 15 years of research experience in the field of engineering and technology, particularly in science and materials engineering. She has participated in multiple projects of basic and applied research (all projects financed by the government of Chile). Her current research lines focus on the effects of atmospheric corrosion in metallic materials and the development of new copper based materials by Powder Metallurgy. Lately she has joined a group of sustainable materials.
