My focus is laying hens and egg quality. My research interests include factors that influence egg quality and the use of edible coatings. My goal is to extend the shelf life of eggs and reduce food losses through the use of industrial by-products, especially in places where refrigeration of eggs is not required by law. Furthermore, I study the effects of different hen housing systems on the production, egg quality, and intestinal health of laying hens.
