My focus is on environmental sustainability. I continue to explore the many ways that insights from ecology can form the foundation for analyzing natural and cultural systems. My research interests center on the interactions of changing ecosystems (given all forms of environmental stress; including climate change), and the social and economic aspects of natural resource assessment, planning, management, and monitoring.
