Patricia Turgeon

Patricia Turgeon received the Doctoral degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Montreal, Québec, Canada, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in epidemiology from the Veterinary College of the University of Montreal, in 2011. Since 2009, she has been an Epidemiologist with the Division of Public Health Risk Sciences, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Laboratory for Foodborne Zoonoses (LFZ), Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada, and also an Adjunct Professor with the Veterinary College of the University of Montreal. Her research interests include zoonotic diseases, especially foodborne and waterborne ones, and the impact of animal populations on the environment and human health, with a special interest on vulnerable populations and tele-epidemiology and spatial epidemiology.
