RESEARCH INTERESTS
AREA OF RESEARCH: Nanochemistry; Optical (Bio)Sensing; Biophysical Chemistry; Fluorescence Spectroscopy & Imaging.
BROAD RESEARCH IDEA:
We explore to apply non-toxic food spice/polyphenol (such as curcumin) as green approach to replace toxic chemicals during nanoparticles preparation, which has implications in Chemistry and Environment.
Similarly, we target to prepare nano hybrid particles/nanocapsules (using smart polymers) as "theranostic agents" for developing fluorescence probe based diagnostic method and therapeutic application for diseases, which has implication in Medicine and Food Chemistry.
We also investigate assembly and/or self-assembly process of macromolecules (biological/chemical origin) in solution using optical methods, which has implications in Physiology and Industry.
