个人简介
Paraskevi Theodorou received her BSc from the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, Greece, in 2006, MSc in Technological Education from the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus in 2009 and MSc in Educational Science: Special Education from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus in 2015, and her PhD in Assistive Technologies from the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus in 2023. Her research interests lie in the field of mobile assistive apps development for people with special needs, with special focus on mobile apps for blind or deaf people, and the identification of best practices in education and training that facilitate technology adoption by these groups of people. In order to gain an understanding of the communication and education channels of these two groups, Dr. Theodorou learned the Braille writing system, as well as the Greek sign
language. Prior to receiving her PhD, she participated in research projects concerning environmental education with augmented reality tools, methods and technologies for the improvement of the education and training of people with learning disabilities, and human-computer interaction—subjects that still interest her.
