Paolo Marcheschi

Paolo Marcheschi graduated in 2000 in Electronic Engineering, Biomedical faculty at the university of the Studies in Pisa. In 2001, he got the professional qualification and won a research assign contest for in the institute of Clinical Physiology of the CNR in Pisa. From 2002 to 2011 he has been Computer science teacher for the course of “Computer science and archiving” and for the course of “Digital Elaboration of medical images” in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the university of the Studies in Pisa, from 2002 to the 2011. Computer Science Teacher, within the CNR in Years 2002-2003, for the course “Diagnostic Imaging” organized by the institute of Clinical (IFC) Physiology CNR in Pisa. In the May 2003 has been Teacher to the course ECM "Tele-Cardiology, Technologies and clinical applications for a modern sanitary system”, with a lesson from the title: "The Tele-Cardiology through imaging Technology" estate in Pisa in the institute of Clinical Physiology of Clinical Research Council. In September 2003 he has been Computer science teacher in the Master degree course "Telerad learning: Teleradiology and Radiologic teleconsultation” in Italian Region Tuscany Axle D. For a cycle of lessons on the followings matters: “RIS-PACS Systems” and “Remarkable Standard in Radiology.” He develops activity of research and consultation in the field of the elaboration of the medical images, it coordinates inherent projects for the introduction and consolidation of DICOM and HL7 standards in the departments of diagnostic and medical imaging of the Foundation Gabriele Monasterio / CNR of Pisa and Massa (Italy). In the Period 2003-2008 he belonged to the directive of Italian HL7 association, he has coordinated HL7 v2.x Groups for standardization, HL7 CDA, inside the activity of HL7 Italy Technical Chief. In the period 2004-2008, he occupied the position of Researcher inside the institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Suggestion of the Searches. From 2005 to 2008 he has been Responsible in Clinical Research Council Main activity: “Development of an HL7 pilot project” inside the main line: “Epidemiology and research on sanitary services.” From 2008 to 2017 he was the Chief of Computation and Technology Unit of the Foundation Gabriele Monasterio / CNR in Pisa. He develops besides activity of research and consultation in the field of the elaboration of the medical images and Integration through medical standards, he coordinates inherent projects for the introduction and consolidation of the DICOM and HL7 standards in the departments of diagnostic medical imaging. From 2018 he is the Chief of Research & Development, RIS/PACS and Legal archiving unit, of the Foundation Gabriele Monasterio / CNR in Pisa.
