个人简介
I am an expert in plasma process engineering for several applications ranging from materials surface engineering to food processing and sustainable chemical manufacturing.
I hold a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)-Greece, a MSc in Materials Science and Technology from the University of Patras-Greece, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras-Greece. My doctoral studies focused on low-pressure plasma enhanced CVD of silicon thin films for solar cell applications. In 2014 I joined the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of NCSR ‘Demokritos’-Greece as a postdoctoral researcher, working on atmospheric plasma etching and nanotexturing of polymers and composites for fabrication of functional nano- and bio-interfaces. During my postdoctoral stay, I expanded my research activities in food processing and plasma-water interactions for agricultural applications. In 2018 I was a postdoctoral scholar at GREMI Lab, Université d' Orléans / CNRS-France, working on atmospheric plasmas for materials functionalization. From 2019 to 2022 I was a research associate at the Delaware Energy Institute and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the University of Delaware-USA, leading the plasma activities related to catalysis and process intensification. I am currently a senior research associate at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), leading the experimental plasma research for applications in Energy and Environment.
