Patricia Sánchez-González

Patricia Sánchez-González received the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She has teaching experience, since 2007, and a tutoring record of more than 50 grade and master students in their final dissertations. She is currently an Assistant Professor with the E.T.S. Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She is also the Director of the “Surgical training and image guided surgery” Laboratory, Center for Biomedical Technology. She has published 26 journal articles, 70 congress articles, and three book chapters. Her main research field focuses on the development of new image processing methodologies for diagnosis and quantification of lesions, and solutions for healthcare education, with a special focus in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). In recent years, she has participated in 15 national research projects and ten European research projects.
