Patrice Megret

Patrice Mégret (patrice.megret@umons.ac.be) is a full professor of electrical engineering at UMONS, 7000 Mons, Belgium, where he is head of the Electromagnetism and Telecommunications Department. He has 25 years of experience in the photonic field, where his main research interests are in the metrology of components and telecom systems with emphasis on optical transmission quality. He is author and coauthor of eight book chapters and more than 600 publications in journals and conference proceedings and has supervised 20 Ph.D. theses. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
