PK is a Fellow of the French Chemical Society (“Membre Distingué”) and recipient of the IAAM Medal (International Association for the Advancement of Materials 2018), the Silver Medal of the Warsaw University of Technology (2015) and the CNRS Bronze Medal (1994). His main research interests are solid state ionics and ionic conduction near interfaces, nanostructured materials for energy storage and conversion, polymer electrolytes for electrochemical energy technologies, lithium-ion microbatteries based on TiO2 nanotubes, and nanocrystalline CeO2. He published 190 articles in international journals (7800 citations, h index = 44), 7 co-edited books, 6 patents and presented 75 invited, keynote and plenary talks at international conferences.
