P. K. Swaminathan

Douglas S. Mehoke is a member of the Principal Professional Staff at JHU/APL and an Assistant Group Supervisor of the Mechanical Design Group in the Space Department. He holds a masters Degree from Stanford University (1982) and has worked in the field of spacecraft and instrument thermal designs for over 25 years. He has a wide background in the fields of heat transfer and fluid mechanics, and is presently the technical lead on the Solar Probe Plus Thermal Protection System and Dust Mitigation Study. He has been the Lead Thermal Engineer on several spacecraft and instrument programs. His current research interests include heat transfer in composite materials with high and low thermal conductivities and the design of thermally stable structures.
