Peter E. Thornton

Peter Thornton is a distinguished research scientist at the Environmental Sciences Division, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN, 37831, USA. His research interests include Earth system modeling, coupled biogeochemical cycles in land ecosystems, and human–Earth system interactions. Thornton received his Ph.D. degree in forestry from the University of Montana. He is a member of the American Geophysical Union and the Ecological Society of America.
