Pablo Catalan

Physician scientist and associate professor with over ten years of experience and formal training in chronic lung diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), sleep disorders and asthma with expertise clinical research. I have conducted funded clinical research studies in COPD and sleep apnea. I have focused my research in exacerbations, bronchiectasis and COPD, validation of sleep questionnaires, sleep apnea and its consequences on the cardiovascular sphere in specific populations (elderly and women), and the relationship between sleep apnea and cancer. I am mentor of students and junior faculty in clinical research and patient care about respiratory disorders. I have experience working with industry involving clinical trials in COPD, asthma, and sleep. I have worked as a volunteer doctor in developing countries such as Cameroon or Peru.
