P.A. Hernández-Leal

Pedro A. Hernández-Leal received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of La Laguna, Canary Islands, Spain, in 1990 and 2001, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of applied physics in the Department of Physics, University of la Laguna, and a member of the research group “Grupo de Observacion de la Tierra y la Atmosfera (GOTA)” at the same institution. His main research interest include remote sensing environmental applications using thermal sensors, surface temperature algorithms, vegetation indexes, and land cover dynamics and forest fires studies using Geographical Information Systems and satellite sensors.
