Ottavia Spiga received the bachelor's degree in biology, and the PhD degree in biotechnology from the University of Siena, in 2002. She is a researcher with Biotechnology Chemistry and Pharmacology Department. She has published 75 articles in international scientific journals in the field of biochemistry, structural and computational biology and computational biology. She is currently supervising postgraduate students in various research areas of bioinformatics. Her strong interest in molecular modeling and computational docking analysis led globally. She has active research collaborations with the University of Melbourne Australia, Vietnam Academy of Science and Chemistry, School of Chemical Sciences, University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand, University of Essex. She is a member of biochemistry and molecular biology Doctoral Research School of the University of Siena.
