个人简介
Dr. Osama Al-Habahbeh is a Professor and Head of Mechatronics Engineering Department at the University of Jordan. He obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of Jordan, and his PhD degree from Clarkson University, where he developed a reliability assessment tool for gas turbines, by integrating Finite Element Method, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Monte Carlo simulation. Before pursuing his graduate studies, he gained experience in various industries including tourism, manufacturing, and aviation, where he developed an automated fuel saving system. In his MSc thesis, he designed an LPG composite pressure vessel. After earning PhD, Dr. Al-Habahbeh joined University of Newcastle and Hashemite University before joining University of Jordan, where he has served as Director of Career Guidance and Alumni Office, responsible for training students and Career Fairs. In addition, he has served as Vice-Dean of students’ Affairs, where he led the Deanship departments including services, dorms, sports, clinic, international students, unions, clubs, adjudication, and activities. Later, he spent his Sabbatical leave at American University of the Middle East. His research interests include smart systems and green energy. He has made more than 50 scholarly contributions, including books, patents, Journal articles, and conference papers. Most of his research was funded by industry and government. Moreover, he provides consulting to Governments, Oil companies, Municipalities, and Utility companies.
