I work on the trade-offs between social and environmental services in the context of African agriculture, food self-sufficiency and food security. The project takes an interdisciplinary approach which aims to build capacity among UK and African researchers. The research sits at the nexus of three goals of the SDGs-: 2 - food security; 10 - reduced inequality; and 15 - environmental conservation.
