Ninel Kokanyan received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Lorraine, Metz, France, in 2015, specializing in polarized Raman spectroscopy of photorefractive lithium niobate crystals. She is an Associate Professor with the LMOPS Laboratory, CentraleSupélec, Metz. Her current research focuses on Raman spectroscopy applications in optics, biotechnology, and structural materials. In addition to her research, she serves as the Academic Dean on the Metz campus, overseeing the engineering curriculum and as in charge of Innovation and Intrapreneurship branch at CentraleSupélec Metz. She is also the referent of gender equality on campus.
