Nicoletta Biglia, MD, PhD, is a Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Torino and Director of the Academic Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mauriziano Hospital. She graduated in Medicine at the University of Turin in 1986, Specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is a PhD in Gynecological Oncology. Dr. Biglia participated in several clinical trials in the fields of Gynecological Oncology, Menopause and Breast cancer. Her clinical activity has been devoted to the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast and pelvic tumours. She has developed a special research interest in the relationship between hormonal influences and breast cancer risk, in the methods that could reduce the impact of cancer on the quality of life of cancer survivors, and in innovation in surgical techniques in the pelvis and breast. She has been a member of the Board of the Italian Society of Menopause and is currently a member of the Board of the Italian Society of Gynaecological Oncology.
