Nicola F Fletcher

I am a veterinary surgeon with extensive experience in the study of human and animal viral infections. My PhD and post-doctoral research focused on the neuropathogenesis of immunodeficiency viruses and hepatitis C virus, and my current work uses physiologically relevant in vitro blood-brain barrier and ex vivo liver models to study viral infections. I have worked in both veterinary and medical research environments and am passionate about a ‘One Health’ approach to medicine and research, as well as the study of zoonotic disease. I am a committed, hard working individual with a passion for clinically relevant research at the highest level.
