Nicholas Vasilakos

Nicholas Vasilakos received the Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K., in 2008. For several years, he worked as a Pre- and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham. He joined the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, in January 2011 as a Lecturer B (Assistant Professor) in International Business. He is a faculty member of the ESRC Centre for Competition Policy and a Fellow of the Institute for Carbon Accountants and Traders. His current research interests include the analysis of wholesale electricity markets with large levels of renewable capacity (especially onshore and offshore wind). Dr. Vasilakos is one of the two recipients of the Campbell Watkins Prize for the best paper in the Energy Journal in 2012 (shared with Richard Green of Imperial College).
