My work focuses on three areas: - Axis 1: The aim was to document the transmission of strains carrying resistance mutations against antiretroviral and antimalarial molecules in the Republic of Congo and to study the genetic variability of HIV-1 and plasmodial strains. Axis 2: The objective here is to generate data that compares the extent of HIV infection, syphilis and hepatitis B and C in groups at high risk of infection, including sex workers and men who have sex with men, with those known to the general population. - Axis 3: Studies on zoonotic risks and transmission mechanisms of pathogens at the human-animal interface.
