Bachelor in Physics (1986) with PhD (1994) in Applied Physics by the University of Sao Paulo. International experience during PhD and postdoc studies in England, France and the United States. Full Professor at Sao Paulo State University (Unesp). Research mainly on the characterization of the soil CO2 emission and the greenhouse gas balance in agricultural areas, based on the emission´s inventory.
