Narriman is a Pew fellow in Marine Conservation since 2006. She has extensive experience in conducting research, lecturing and teaching. Her scientific work on marine biology has always been closely tied to socioeconomic analysis, policy formulation and stakeholder empowerment to promote marine conservation. She has conducted extensive multidisciplinary work involving both biological and social sciences in marine and coastal areas of East Africa and has been a pivot player in several projects.
