Narendra Kumar

Narendra Kumar (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany. In 1999, he was with Motorola Solutions as the Principal Staff Engineer (product development and testing). He has been appointed as a Visiting Professor at Istanbul University, since January 2011. Since August 2013, he has also been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malaya, as an Associate Professor. He is driving Industry 4.0 research activities with the collaboration of RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and supporting industry-university relationships in digital transformation. Since early 2011, he is actively involved in giving technical courses to many organizations in Asia and Europe, including Spain, Germany, Italy, Turkey, and Thailand. He holds three U.S. patents and four defensive patents in microwave power amplifiers, all assigned to Motorola Solutions. He has authored more than 80 papers in technical journals and conferences and three technical books published in USA. His two papers on wideband matching circuits and nonlinear microwave stability were invited papers for IEEE Mediterranean Microwave Symposium 2010 (North Cyprus) and IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference 2012 (Florida, USA). He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineering Technology, U.K.. He was appointed at IEEE Industry Relations Team of Asia Pacific, in January 2015 to support industrial linkage activities. His name was included in 2009 Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. He was a recipient of the Paper Award in 2009 IEEE Microwave Propagations and System for his paper on high broadband power distributed amplifiers. He has chaired few IEEE and PIERS technical conferences in Europe and Asia, in 2009. He has conducted few IEEE seminars related to RF and microwave power amplifier in Europe and Asia, in 2007. In 2010, he serves as a keynote speaker for several IEEE conferences at (Cyprus, Florida, USA, Beirut, and Bangkok. In June 2009, he has served as a Reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques and IET Circuit, Devices and Systems.
