I qualified as a Doctor of veterinary medicine at the Faculty of veterinary medicine and completed a Masters and PhD at the Faculty of agricultural science and food, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, North Macedonia. I have started my professional career as field veterinarian in swine practice in 2003. I worked on the biggest Agriculture economy and commercial pig-breeding farm. There I was responsible for herd health and production management. This experience include a comprehensive concern for the herd health and welfare, making daily management decisions according general and herd-specific information. Over and above, I have been involved in carcass inspection on economy abattoir to ensure that only apparently healthy animals are slaughtered for human consumption. I was joining academia in 2007. Until 2022, I was Associate Professor in Animal hygiene and animal welfare at Faculty of agricultural science and food. In 2022 I changed my position and joined Faculty of Agriculture, Goce Delcev University in Stip, North Macedonia, Department of Food Technology and Processing of Animal Products on position Associate Professor. During my academic career I was accomplished several research stays in Egypt, Germany, Finland, United States. My major research interest is in the field of bovine mastitis, dairy cow welfare, pig behaviour and welfare. Dedicated to achieve my professional activities, I have permanent contact with National food safety authority and Veterinary adviser service, livestock farms and food industry authorities. I was involved in several national and international scientific projects based on idea for animal welfare protection and reduction of damaging behaviour in animals. I have authored/co-authored more than 70 refereed articles. I’m member of National platform for animal welfare.
