Nadia Senhoraes

Nádia Rodrigues Senhorães completed the PhD in Sciences - Chemistry in 2015 and the Master Degree in Medicinal Chemistry in 2010, both at the University of Minho (PT). She finished her graduation in Chemistry in 2008 by University of Porto (PT). Previously worked as a Technical Manager (Physical Chemical Department) at a chemical and microbiologycal analysis of food and water laboratory in compliance with EN/ISO 17025 Standard. In October 2019 she moved to CeNTI- Center for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials, and has been working as a project manager and researcher in the Functional Fibres Team, dedicated to polymeric materials processing technologies, development of multicomponent fibres by melt-spinning technology, thermoplastics compounding and characterization. She is currently involved in several national and european projects of science, technology and innovation and is responsible for the management and coordination of multidisciplinary R&D projects with different typologies related with development of new innovative and intelligent materials, targeted to health and wellbeing, construction, automotive, aeronautics and textile industry sectors. She published 4 articles in international scientific indexing journals and also delivered several oral and poster communications in national and international conferences. Her research interests and background include areas of Exact Sciences with emphasis on Organic Chemistry; Chemical Sciences; Biology; Natural Sciences; Biological Sciences; Therapeutic Chemistry; Science & Technology; Nanotechnology, Polymer Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Textile engineering, Thermoplastics, Biotechnology.
