Bio
Dr. Nabin Rijal is a Nuclear Physicist at Schlumberger who builds and tests state-of-the-art, very rugged, high-temperature radiation detectors & radiation generators to perform nuclear measurements in harsh conditions below earth & space, with the goal to create and improve technologies that unlock access to energy and knowledge for the benefit of all humankind.
In the past, he investigated the origin and synthesis of chemical elements (nucleosynthesis) in different stellar sites like core-collapse supernovae, x-ray bursts, and neutron star mergers at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, Michigan State University. During his Ph.D., he performed experimental investigations of the Lithium problem in the Big Bang Nucleosynthesis at Florida State University.
