Nir Grossman received the B.Sc. degree in physics from the Technion—the Israeli Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 2003, and the M.Sc. degree in electromagnetic engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Hamburg, Germany, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Neuroscience, Imperial College London, London, U.K., in 2010, during which he pioneered investigations into optoelectronic/optogenetic approaches to retinal prosthesis. He is currently a Research Fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Imperial College London. His main research interest is in the interface between electromagnetism and biological structures.
