My N Helms

I am an independent investigator pursuing mechanistic studies in lung transport biology. I maintain a BSL II lab where we constantly strive to deliver new biological discoveries that can lead to improving human health. I mentor the next generation of scientists to become innovative new investigators. I work to address the scientific challenges and opportunities of our time through outreach efforts in my local community and go beyond in national service. It is an exceptional feeling to experience the rigors of research and collaborate with partners alike in their devotion to making new discoveries and advancing wellness.
