The focus of my research program is to understand the influence of biotic and abiotic factors on the physiological biochemical and anatomical characteristics of horticultural crops. My particular focus is the mitigation of heavy metal toxicity by using shotgun and ecofriendly approaches. We are also working to indentify Phosphorus and Nitrogen efficient genotypes of horticultural crops by using various physiological and biochemical indicators. In addition, I am also working to augment the nutrient and water status of sandy soils by using superabsorbent polymers. Recently, I am investigation the impact of ploidy level in tolerance against various biotic and abiotic stresses with special focus on citrus rootstocks
