Dr. Alipour's research focuses on scalable digitization and automation to tackle the challenges facing our built and natural environments by harnessing big data. His work integrates sensing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence with engineering domain expertise. His most recent research projects leverage deep learning, multi-modal data fusion, computer vision, virtual and augmented reality and digital image correlation for solving real-world challenging problems in structural and infrastructural engineering.
