Professor of Soil Physics at University of São Paulo - Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP). Agronomist (UFSM, 2011), Master in Soil Science (UFSM, 2013) and Doctor in Soil Science (UFRGS, 2017). I made part of my Ph.D as an visiting research (2015-2016) in The James Hutton Institute in Dundee, UK. I had developed some researches in collaboration with The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). I was temporary professor of soil physics and soil-water conservation at Federal University of Paraná (2017). From 2019 to 202022 was Professor at Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR - campus Francisco Beltrão). I did a postdoc project related with soil methane flux in Amazon Biome, specially studying the effect of Forest-to-pasture conversion in Amazon soils. My research interests are related with the effects of soil physical conditions on root growth, soil physical quality, water and gas flux in the soil, soil-root-plant-atmosphere relationship and root growth modelling. My interest is in the physical stresses experienced by roots growing in soil, with a particular focus on the no-tillage system and its relationship with water and mechanical stress to root elongation.
