Crystal Milligan

Crystal Milligan is a manager, researcher and emerging public health leader with 10 years experience building and implementing programs, strategy, and systems for health and wellness in low-/middle-income countries and Canada’s North. Through her doctoral research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at University of Toronto she aims to contribute to the development of culturally responsive, learning health care systems. Her primary research interests include: • Application of contextual and experiential evidence within learning health systems; • Indigenous self-governance and stewardship of health systems; • Measuring and improving access to health care in northern remote/rural communities; • Equity in health and health care; • Health communication and storytelling; • Knowledge translation; and • Chronic disease prevention.
