Mihai Sănduleac (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in expert systems for power networks from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania, in 1985 and 1998, respectively. He was with the Energy Research and Modernizing Institute ICEMENERG Bucharest in various positions, also is the Head of Research with Power Systems Laboratory. He had various activities in the electrical energy sector and is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Power Systems, University Politehnica of Bucharest, Bucharest. He acted as a Technological Manager in H2020 Nobel Grid and Storage4Grid projects, while being involved in several other European projects, such as SUCCESS, WISEGRID, and WEDISTRICT. He has authored/coauthored various papers and coauthored books in the energy field. Dr. Sănduleac is Member of CIGRE and the recipient of the 2011 IEEE-PES Romania Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award.
