Bio
Miguel Ángel Campo-Bescós received the degree in agricultural engineering and the Ph.D. degree in rural and environmental engineering from the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), Pamplona, Spain, in 2003 and 2011, respectively.
During his doctoral thesis, he was a Visiting Student with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Engineering, UPNA, where he is also a Researcher with the Institute for Sustainability and Food Chain Innovation (IS-FOOD). He has participated in 16 research projects, funded by international, national, and regional public calls. In addition, he has participated in 15 technology transfer projects, being a Principal Investigator in 10 of the 15. He has over 150 contributions in indexed international journals, book chapters, and conference contributions, in the field of agricultural and environmental sciences. His lines of research focus on the study and modeling of soil erosion and irrigation science, with special interest in the adoption and integration of new technologies.
