My laboratory uses a variety of cellular, molecular and imaging tools to investigate Eph receptor biology and function following traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke. Eph receptors are axon growth/guidance molecules which we discovered play a unique and novel role in regulating vascular, neural stem cell and peripheral immune cell-mediated responses to brain injury.
