As research associate in the section for geotechnical safety analyses at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Resources (BGR), I am dealing with research projects focusing on the numerical modelling of thermo-hydraulic-mechanically coupled processes in porous media with special regard to nuclear waste repository systems. Within the scope of the PhD-project at the chair of soil mechanics at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, I focus on gas transport in the geological barrier in argillaceous rocks.
