Michael D. Oberst

AstraZeneca employee 2007-present, based in Gaithersburg, MD. As of 2023, I have had the role of senior director in the Oncology Research and Development department. At AstraZeneca, I develop tumor-targeted therapies for the treatment of cancer, including for solid tumors as well as hematological malignancies. Prior to working at AZ, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the NCI, NIH Bethesda MD in the field of ras-mediated tumorigenesis after receiving my Ph.D. degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC. My Ph.D. dissertation was on the role of the matriptase serine protease in cancer metastasis and progression.
