Michael A. Mooney received the BS degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, the MA degree from New York University, and the PhD degree in bioinformatics and computational biology from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where he was a National Library of Medicine Fellow. Dr. Mooney is currently a postdoctoral researcher at OHSU. His research is focused on the development of statistical and computational techniques for analyzing high-throughput genomic data with the purpose of discovering genetic variants that contribute to common, complex diseases.
