Michael R. MacAskill received the B. Sc. And B.A. (Hons.) degree in psychology from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, 1993 and 1994, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in medicine from the University of Otago, Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2002. He is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Otago, Christchurch, New Zealand. Based at the Van der Veer Institute for Parkinson's and Brain Research, he is Director of its Eye Movement Labo-ratory, and co-founded its Movement and Virtual En-vironment Laboratory. His research interests are perception and motor control, particularly in neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease.
