个人简介
Michael L. Norton received the Ph.D. degree in solid-state chemistry from Arizona State University, Tempe, in 1982, working in the area of two-dimensional antiferromagnetic oxide materials.
As a National Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow, he worked briefly in the area of superconducting oxide materials in the Electronic Materials Branch of the Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, CA. As an Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia and in his career at Marshall University, Huntington, WV, his research has focused on the study of soft matter, particularly on design, assembly and characterization of DNA-based optoelectronic nanostructures with sensing capabilities. He is Director of the Molecular and Biological Imaging Center at Marshall University (http://www.marshall.edu/mbic/index.html).
