Prior to coming to Barnard Dr. Wheaton was a postdoctoral clinical researcher in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and he previously taught at Yeshiva University. His research interests focus on the psychopathology and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and OCD-related disorders, with a particular emphasis on behavioral therapy. He is a licensed psychologist in New York State and teaches classes in abnormal psychology and clinical psychology at Barnard.
