Mecit Cetin received the B.S. degree in civil engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1995 and the M.S. degree in civil engineering and the Ph.D. degree in transportation engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, in 1999 and 2002, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk, VA. He was with the University of South Carolina, Columbia, prior to joining ODU. His research interests include intelligent transportation systems, the modeling and simulation of transportation systems, and system state estimation.
