Aki Mäyrä received the M.Sc. degree in physics from Oulu University, Oulu, Finland, in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, he was involved with a gravity field and steady-state ocean circulation explorer satellite project with the European Space Research and Technology Centre. Since 2009, he has been a Research Scientist with the VTT Optical Measurements Group, Oulu, Finland, where he has been responsible on optics for several national and EU-funded projects, including design of optics for special applications and system engineering of optical analyzers and measurement devices.
