Max Mauro Dias Santos

Max Mauro Dias Santos (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2004. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow of Electrical Engineering from the Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal, in 2005/2006. He held many positions in industry and academia, such as at the IBM, Unileste, Volvo, and GM. Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Electronics, Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Parana—Ponta Grossa, Brazil. His career has spanned both academia and industry in the field of automotive, automation, and control. His professional and scholarly works allowed to be produced in more than 100 journal and conference publications. His teaching and research interests are in the fields of embedded systems, automotive systems, industrial automation, and autonomous systems. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles.
