Mauricio Quimbaya

Mauricio Quimbaya received the B.S. degree in biology from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota, Colombia, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in biotechnology from Ghent University, Ghent, U.K., in association with the Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie (VIB), Flanders, Belgium, in 2011. He is currently an Associate Professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, Bogota. His main research areas are focused on comparative genomics applied to cancer and plants research.
